Important message from the New Zealand Ministry of Health

Kia ora, welcome to New Zealand.

If you get sick within a month of arriving in New Zealand, please seek medical advice as soon as you can. Telephone the free Healthline on 0800 611 116 or contact a doctor. It is important to tell them that you have been outside New Zealand recently.

Tell the health professional if you have a temperature of 38° C or higher and one or more of the following symptoms: ongoing coughing • difficulty breathing • ongoing diarrhoea • ongoing vomiting • skin rash • bruising or bleeding without injury • looking obviously unwell • confusion.

Current Situation in the Hostel

The safety and security of our guests and staff is our main priority. We are doing everything we can to keep you safe and provide maximum flexibility during this time. The Hostel is currently free of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases. All guests are healthy. To keep it this way, we have applied and enforce a strict protocol.

We continue to maintain a very high standard in cleanliness and hygiene, are applying an enhanced cleaning protocol and have briefed our staff about the changed situation.

General Information for new Arrivals

The following restrictions apply to ALL reservations that have not checked-in yet:

  • No new guests will be checked in before 23/04/2020
  • Guest showing symptoms in connection with COVID-19 or express these verbally, will be denied check-in
  • Guests may not use the premises to carry out any self-isolation

Information for Guests currently staying with us

Extensions are possible without any restrictions at this time. All rates have been fixed until the end of the Lockdown Period in connection with Level 4 of the COVID-19 Alert System.

Information for Guests checking out

At this time there are no restrictions for check-outs.

Information for Guests making a new reservation

No new reservations can be made for arrival dates before 23/04/2021

Cancellations

  • Guests having a confirmed check-in date of up to 30/04/2021, deciding to postpone their travel, will be offered a free change of their arrival date or issued room credit to be used freely at a later point in time, reflecting 100 % of their room rate
  • Monetary refunds are based on the rate plan and/or the cancellation policy of the individual reservation
